Evo naletela na recenzijo vasega albuma na netu:" American black metal band Somrak has been around since 2001 and with “The Abhorred Blessings” they make their international debut on DTR Records. Influences come from the second wave Norwegian black metal bands such as Darkthrone, Emperor, Enslaved and Immortal. Somrak storms relentlessly through 8 tracks that comprise this record. The atmosphere is bleak and oppressive. With adequate instrumental mastery and concise songwriting craft Somrak effectively duplicate their Scandinavian ancestors in sheer abstract musical nihilism. There’s also a distinct (early) Celtic Frost influence in the way Somrak handles certain chord progressions and moves through song sections. An abraded, very low fidelity recording enhances the overall experience. As noted, the production is genre typical low key. There’s enough punch to the drums and guitars hold enough bite. The vocals are truly evil sounding, somewhat of a mix between (early) Satyricon and (early) Immortal. Artwork, design and lay-out follow the typical underground standards and are actually very well executed. The booklet is abstractly designed and contains lyrics, band pictures, etc. Overall, “The Abhorred Blessings” is a well-rounded and solid traditional Scandinavian black metal record that will surely find its way to the public in Europe. Fans of the earliest releases of Emperor, Enslaved or Immortal should be sure to pick this one up."

Jah sej to vidis kr pogosto...Sam vseeno ce se grejo neke znalce pa majo webzine itd bi pa ze mogli tolk truda(2 sec na metal archives) vlozit v tist kar pisejo na svoj sajt..pa sej ne sam ta sajt, se veliko je takih... No ja vsaj dobra recenzija kar je kul :)

A few years back I posted a review on the old metalwhore.com webzine about this Slovenian horde when they did a split 7” with Oregon’s Aesthenia. I liked that chunk of vinyl so much I contacted the guitarist about an interview, which he granted. Times and tastes vary and websites disappear beneath the frothy waves of the internet sea so I lost track of these keepers of the flame. Then not too long ago I was contacted by Decadence Through Ruination about a possible review. Turns out DTR rose from the ashes of Vile Art...who released above mentioned split.

So to make bring the history lesson to a close, I said “Hell yes!” and since I do have this (maybe) misplaced notion about supporting the underground, I paid the $5 (yes, five bucks) for my very own copy of the bands new offerings.

Let me just say first of all it’s the best money I’ve spent for anything Black Metal related in awhile. Still apparent are the Celtic Frost influences of early days, but the band has really come into its own. There’s a heavy thrash injection as well and vocalist J.D. croaks out some of the filthiest vile this side of Central Europe. The album alternates between mid-paced romps and blistering full-speed attacks fused with (albeit oppressive) melodic guitar breaks.

All bands probably hate comparisons, but as a fan myself sometimes I appreciate it so here I go. If I had to pinpoint some parallels, I’d say the Black Thrash of Horna morphed with the psychedelic tunings and vocals of Deathspell Omega. Not bad company to keep, I’d say.

This is doubtless some of the better BM to (dis)grace my speakers in awhile. Contact DTR for a copy.

SOMRAKS official MySpace page states that they were "formed in 2001 as a mere summon of those inhaled the cancer of uncreation in times when such plague was there still mostly unknown" [sic]. My initial reaction to this claim was, disregarding the somewhat dubious grammar, that these Slovenians aren't joking around when it comes to Black Metal. As expected, "The Abhorred Blessings" serves as a pale and bony middle finger up to all "new school" bands, drawing influences from the signature blackened Thrash of HELLHAMMER.

As with most of these orthodox satanic bands with a penchant for the dark and evil, there isn't really anything new or even slightly creative going on in SOMRAK's music. From the twisted biblical woodcut print of the black and white cover to the raspy vocals and the blasphemous lyrics, everything seems to be exactly as expected. However, the musicianship transcends most painfully low-fi bedroom projects, and the songs are varied enough to keep the attention of even the most casual Black Metal fan. There are plenty of neckbreaking headbanging-sessions to be had through the course of the albums 42 minutes, and most of the tracks are recognizable on their own instead of being a string of practically identical snoozers.

As I've already pointed out, you're not going to be blown away by the fairly straight-forwards approach of "The Abhorred Blessings." Never the less, SOMRAK know how to balance grim and evil Black Metal with hellblazing riffs and gritty vocals, resulting in some more than acceptable songs. I dare you to give "Howls From The Devil..." a listen and walk away without an urge to enter a headbanging-frenzy or at the very least put the horns up. While they're not going to reap many points for being visionaries, they certainly get a star for breathing life into a tired formula, without stranding as yet another CELTIC FROST clone.

majice smo razprodali in jih trenutno nimamo na zalogi.
bomo pa v kratkem naredili ponatis (najverjetneje tudi girlie varianto) tako, da bojo spet na voljo.

js tudi nisem vedu.
glede na to da igrajo točno pred nami se tudi js bojim, da jih bom bolj malo vidu.
dej če ti uspe skoči malo pogledat.
sej ne vem kolko stane eno dnevna karta ampak mislim, da ne bi smela bit preveč draga.

do 30.6. so 36 eurov enodnevne karte, potem so pa dražje oz. ni nujno da sploh bodo na dan koncerta .... (pravjo da bo kmal razprodano)
tok sem se veselil da so vas prestavil na zgodnjo uro, zdaj pa vidim da ima Kozeljnik vaš termin :( nč, treba si ga bo na easy vzet
