No ja, sej ne pricakujem tut nekaksnega pretiranega odziva na ta bend, ampak vseeno, spodobi se, da imajo svojo debato.
Tiamat, švedski bend glasbenega masterminda Johana Edlunda, je nastal iz skupine Treblinka ze leta 1989. Kmalu po nastanku so zaceli izdajati albume, prvi je bil Sumerian Cry. Do leta 2008 so izdali 9 studijskih albumov, nekaj EP, best of in live album. Zanimivost je njihovo eksperimentiranje s stili: zacel so kot surovi black, nato presaltal na death metal, potem na tako doomersko obliko deatha, nakar so izdali album Wildhoney, nekaksna mesanica atmosfericnega-doom-psihadelicnega death metala. Od tam naprej pa so presli na gothic/doom/industrial zvok. Kot je komentirou kitarist hrvaske skupine Death Of Folk, se Tiamat lahko postavi ob bok najvecjim bendom danasnjega dne. To je skupina, ki se evolvira z vsakim albumom, napreduje in kombinira stile, vse to povezuje z odlicnimi besedili, v vsem njihovem opusu pa nimajo albuma, ki bi bil kopija prejsnjemu.  Take kvalitete v muski jst nism se najdu v nobeni drugi skupini. Tiamat so mi dalec najbolsi bend, ker take atmosfericne muske s tolk dobrimi besedili ne more naredit vsak! Mmm, Judas Christ (dej fak, ze sam ime plate, a je lah bolsi!!), Prey, Amanethes - eden bolsih ''trojckov'' albumov.
A jih je ze kdo uspeu vidt v zivo? Baje so okol 90ih bli v Sloveniji, nekje na primorju, ce se ne motm. |

Tiamat je res posebne sorte band, jep. Dobre so mi pa kr vse plate, edin nove še nism slišu. Edlund je mojster indeed.

1992 ali 93 (Hum-Goriska Brda): Paradise Lost + Tiamat Neopisno presenečenje ob odkritju benda Tiamat.
1995 (Sežana): Black Sabbath + Tiamat: Wildhoney Lahko rečem samo perfect!!!
2002 (Orpheum - Graz) Tiamat + Moonspell + Flowering Tears: solidno
 2002 (Summer Breeze) Tiamat + many others: nekako so se izgubili na takem stejđu
 Po Deeper Kind Of Slumber pa gre precej navzdol za moje pojme. Mogoče iz Prey in Judas Christ izstisneš ven en pošten album.

Tiamat so nastopali leta 93 na Humu, imeli so ravno turnejo za plato The Astral Sleep dogodek pa je organiziral legendarni underground Klub Strelišče Dobrovo......

Ne pokomentirate nič včerajšnje Edlundove izjave?
"I have decided to leave Tiamat. My health etc.. Doesn't work anylonger. I say leave because I don't claim anything Tiamat. If the other guys wanna continue, fine.. Go ahead. Get a great goodlooking vocalist, sign to Century Media & just do it. But I'm out & not even intrested apart from wishing all the best for the band. All contracts & such will be handed out to Anders, lars & Roger, if they're into it. I want nothing from this, I was spoiled too much of being an adult. Give someone a better chance. I will do the four festivals we have booked for the summer. Face it, there are other bands, plus even Tiamat might get better! Love my brothers & thank YOU for your support! KISSES!" |
