-THE GERMS

Return of the legends! First tie in Europe!!!

The Germs, a classic American punk hardcore band formed in 1977 that disbanded in 1980, are currently on a nationwide tour with actor and musician Shane West stepping into the role of lead singer. West is filling in the shoes of the late Darby Crash as lead singer along with original members, guitarist Pat Smear (Foo Fighters), bassist Lorna Doom, and drummer Don Bolles. West came to be a band member after playing the role of Darby Crash in the critically acclaimed biopic What We Do Is Secret. The film brought the original Germs members back together and impressed by West’s abilities as front man, they reformed the band. The "new Germs" have toured semi-regularly since 2005, including a run on the 2006 Vans Warped Tour and playing the "Secret" premiere in June. Fans and some punk peers initially derided the reunion, believing it to be either a nostalgic cash-in or a reputation-sullying mistake. Those naysayers have found that West’s spit-soaked reprisals of his Crash role are faithful and riveting, right down to West's spitfire rebuttals to skeptics.
