Drone/Doom koncert nemško kanadske trojice AUN, N in KODIAK
AUN (kanada)Z dviganjem širnih zvočnih zidov znotraj nebeške elektronike, AUN
ustvarjajo nize kozmičnega grajnda. Raziskovalna entiteta Montrealskega
ekserimentalca Martina Dumaisa se je razvila v duet z Julie LeBlanc,
vizualno ustvarjalko in ambientalno glasbenico. Od začetka so bili AUN
zgolj ambientalni, s kasnejšimi albumi, pa so v svoje kompozicije
začeli vključevati vokale in tolkala, s čimer so njihove skladbe postale
bolj ritmične, a še vedno obdržale svoj značilen karakter.
Martin Dumais: kitara, sintesizer, violina, bas, programiranje
Julie Leblanc: sintesizer, kitara, tolkala, vokali
Kodiak (Nemčija): je tričlanska drone/doom Metal skupina. Njihov zvok
Priporočamo jih vsem fanom Pelican, Isis in podobnih bandov..
Tommy – Bas
Seppo – Kitara
Maik – Bobni
AUN (canada)
Erecting vast sound walls streaked in heavenly celestial electronic whiteout,
AUN create a distinctive strain of kosmiche rooted shoegazing grind. Exploratory
entity for veteran Montreal experimental, electronic musician Martin Dumais, AUN
blossomed into its current duo form with Julie Leblanc, visual artist and
ambient musician who has been doing live visuals for AUN since its inception,
and started collaborating in the studio during the 2008 sessions for Alien8
Recordings release ‘Motorsleep’. Constantly evolving, upcoming releases have the
addition of vocals and percussion, resulting in a more song based and
rhythmically driven direction but all the while maintaining AUN’s unique and
twisted character. With several highly praised albums for top tier labels, the
duo recently completed their first European tour and have performed at the
prestigious Mutek and FIMAV festivals.
Martin Dumais: guitar, synthesizers, violin, bass, programming
Julie Leblanc: synthesizers, guitar, percussion, vocals
KODIAK (germany): are a new 3 piece Funeral
Drone/Doom Metal band. Their sound excels as a mixture of monolithic
ultraheavy compositions with expressionistic poems. Their algid songs
consist of long monotonous build-ups (comparable to a long lonely
haunting trip through the arctic) and some seldom parts of eruption,
disembarrassment and hope. In may 2008 they released their first 2 song
cdr via Denovali Records, which was sold out in 2 months. Since may 2008
they shared the stage with bands like Amen Ra, Black Shape Of Nexus,
Caspian or Monarch. Definitely something for fans of Pelican, Isis,
Omega Massif oder Switchblade. In February 2009 they will release their
Debut LP together with Denovali Records. Later in 2009 a split LP with
Black Shape Of Nexus will follow on Denovali Records and Roadburn
Records.
Current Line-up:
Tommy – Bass
Seppo – Guitar
Maik – Drums/additional vocals on recording
N (germany)
the music of N is like a mirror of the moment. regardless how much thinking and
planning went before. the sound captured by a “live”-recording setting comes
directly from the inside. amps + guitar are the instruments used, there is no
cut and paste afterwards nor any overdub…all N-work is counted by numbers
that reflect the timeline of recording and / or the moment of the conclusion to
go for the certain concept. all N-recordings (with the possible exception of
single-tracks) deal with a real place and so the title of any album does.
N
decided to focus on the freshness that can only be achieved by
recording-while-playing-the-first-time and went for that concept on all
solo-recordings since then, using a one guitar / two amplifiers setup with a
chain of pedal-effects in between. with this it is possible to record exactly
what happened in the moment of the inspiration. creating an aesthetic in sound
that is based on a certain warm deepness, being highly attractable both for
player and listener. during live-performance, N does not use any backing tapes
nor prefabricated loops.
