TWILIGHT OF THE GODS (the allstar sensation performing BATHORY masterpieces)

These days a sensational all-star-project titled TWILIGHT OF THE GODS reinforces the thesis that true gods will never die. Five prominent heroes of the Northern metal-scene have joined together to pay endless tribute to the dignified Swedish cult-combo Bathory. Alan Nemtheanga (Primordial), Nick Barker (Dimmu Borgir, Cradle Of Filth), Blasphemer (Mayhem),Frode Glesnes (Einherjer) and Patrik Lindgren (Thyrfing) open up the books of history to continue in honor the fabulous legacy of master Quorthon 6 years after his tragic decease. Deeply connected with the heathen spirit of Bathory, this artist-fusion interprets the immortal hymns of the Swedish kings in a new, but also traditional way. With this audacious project, Alan Nemtheanga and his followers demonstrate, that the “Hammerheart” is still pounding restlessly in the chest of the pagan scene. ENSIFERUM

Edged, ice-cold blades cut into your goose pimples, when the flagship of Finnish heathen metal starts its acoustic-attack. The brave men of HEIDEVOLK carry the power of nature in their hearts. Caught by the mysticism of past epochs , the pagan-sextet hailing from the Netherlands is going to unleash a great Ragnarök at HEIDENFEST. EISREGEN

Abhorred on the one hand, idolized on the other hand! There hardly exists another German band, which had to cope with the Index as often as the Thuringian dark metallers of EISREGEN. Provocative and offensive all along the line, the band does not mind attempts of intimidation from any upholders of moral standards and breaks through the walls of good taste with a very nasty smile. Their bloodworks are full of cynical art, which scares you to death and the morbid, humorously touched sense of their lyrics makes you high like an overdose. VARG

If you’re longing for gentle nature-atmosphere or nice and relaxed folk-sounds, you’re definitely wrong at the “Schildfront” of VARG. This dangerous horde of wolves hailing from Coburg, Germany has already initiated the battle of this millennium in Viking metal! “Blutaar” is the name of their current war-machine, which the band served to all pagan warriors via NoiseArt Records.
